Who We Are:
IMS Electrol is a fast-growing division of IMS Companies, that provides custom wire harnesses and cable assemblies, complex panel builds, and electromechanical assemblies to the medical, automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors. Located in an brand new facility in New Berlin, right outside Milwaukee, our Engineers develop processes to manufacture products in a timely, cost effective, and quality driven manner. We are looking to expand our team with an entry-level Engineering Technician who will work as a cross-functional team member to launch new, and support existing products.
The ideal candidate is forward thinking, detail oriented, self-directed, and enjoys taking on technical challenges. Engineering experience is beneficial, but exposure to the manufacturing process and ERP systems is imperative. The position will entails reviewing customer drawings, manipulation of Excel BOM’s, reviewing component data sheets for critical features, creating production drawings and work instructions, and working with Production and Quality to support the manufacturing process wherever needed. There is no relocation or sponsorship for this position at this time.
What We’re Looking For:
- Background knowledge in engineering technology
- Ability to read and understand engineering documents, specifications, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills including MS Office, SolidWorks or alternative CAD program
Where You’ll Work:
New Berlin, WI, 20 minutes from Downtown Milwaukee.
Standard work week is Monday through Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM.
Generally working in office with frequent activities in the Production environment depending on project requirements.
